Twitterive, twitterive, which
direction will I take ?!?!?
สวัสดีค่ะ sa wat dee kha (hello in Thai)
As I contemplated for hours, no wait weeks and still had no idea where my Twitterive was heading, I began to reread my tweets and realized where I spend a lot of my time. I have been spending a lot of my time doing something I have grown to love and has brought me to one of the greatest experience of my life. I have been training Muay Thai and by doing so it brought me to the most beautiful place I have ever been to in my life; Phuket Thailand.
Last January I was sitting on a dreaded yet exciting 22 hour flight to Phuket where I would be training in Muay Thai, Thai style, cement floors, outside in the humid 90 degree weather, training twice a day for two hours at a time being instructed by idolized Thai fighters. I train here at Daddis Fight Camps in Cherry Hill New Jersey. They have grown to be like a second family (like I said I am there pretty frequently).

Dear journal, Only 8 hours in
A H H H !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get me there NOWWWW~ We are only half way to Korea then a short layover and then another plane to Phuket. At least they have some good food on this plane and some pretty good movies. It’s a good thing I am such a small person because I can get pretty cozy sitting here. Surprisingly, Joe really hasn’t started bothering me… yet.. Must be the Tylenol PM kicking in. But we will see, we have plenty of hours left sitting here together. |
O M G The View !! I love this place....
Dear journal,
This place is absolutely
A M A Z I N G -- I can’t even describe how absolutely beautiful it is. The elevation is so high it was hard to breathe, the humidity is gross, but the experience of doing Muay Thai is awesome. It is very hard to understand what the instructors are saying but you just gotta go with it. It’s not holding me back from anything. I am learning so much here, the techniques that I am learning will definitely be coming home with me and into the gym. I even went to see some real Thai fights in a stadium where betting is legal and the Thai’s played a live Wai Khru Ram Muay. I am getting the fullllll experience of Thailand. I have seen so many things in the last couple days. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the next week and a half.
